Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate on Sunday (August 17, 2025) two main nationwide freeway tasks value a complete of almost ₹11,000 crore within the Rohini space of the nationwide capital.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated on Saturday (August 17, 2025) that the tasks, the Delhi part of the Dwarka Expressway and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), have been developed underneath the excellent plan to decongest the capital.

The new stretches are anticipated to vastly enhance connectivity, minimize journey time, and scale back site visitors in Delhi and its surrounding areas.

The assertion stated, “These initiatives reflect Prime Minister Modi’s vision of creating world-class infrastructure that enhances ease of living and ensures seamless mobility.”

The 10.1 km-long Delhi part of the Dwarka Expressway has been developed at a value of round ₹5,360 crore. The part may even present multi-modal connectivity to Yashobhoomi, DMRC Blue line and Orange line, the upcoming Bijwasan railway station and the Dwarka cluster bus depot, it stated.

This challenge includes a 5.9 km-section, from Shiv Murti intersection to the Road Under Bridge (RUB) at Dwarka Sector-21 and a 4.2 km-section from the RUB to the Delhi-Haryana border, offering direct connectivity to Urban Extension Road-II.

The 19 km-long Haryana part of the Dwarka Expressway was inaugurated by Modi in March 2024, the assertion added.

On Sunday, he may even inaugurate the Alipur to Dichaon Kalan stretch of Urban Extension Road-II, together with new hyperlinks to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, constructed at a value of round ₹5,580 crore.

It will ease site visitors on Delhi’s interior and outer Ring Roads and busy factors like Mukarba Chowk, Dhaula Kuan, and NH-09. The new spurs will give direct entry to Bahadurgarh and Sonipat, enhance industrial connectivity, minimize metropolis site visitors, and velocity up items motion within the nationwide capital area, it stated.
