IMD points orange alert for Mumbai
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert of heavy rains for Mumbai for August 20 and predicted that the depth of rainfall within the metropolis will go down from Thursday (August 21, 2025).The IMD issued a purple alert for Raigad and the ghat sections of Pune district for Wednesday (August 20, 2025).
According to the IMD, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts may also stay beneath an orange alert for Wednesday (August 20, 2025).
