Andhra Pradesh Minister for I&PR and Housing Kolusu Parthasarathy stated the continuing reverification of Sadaram incapacity certificates was aimed solely at eliminating ineligible beneficiaries, who have been fraudulently availing of pensions below the NTR Bharosa scheme.

Addressing the media on the Secretariat on Wednesday, Mr. Parthasarathy stated that of the 7.86 lakh disabled pensioners within the State, notices have been issued to five.10 lakh beneficiaries for reverification. So far, 4.5 lakh certificates had been verified, and about one lakh people have been discovered ineligible. Another 50,000 pensioners had not but introduced their certificates regardless of repeated notices. “Fresh notices will likely be issued, and in the event that they nonetheless fail to conform, their pensions will likely be withheld,” the Minister stated.
