A complete of ₹4.12 crore has been sanctioned to develop the division as a ‘Centre of Excellence’. “This collaboration presents a big alternative for VSU,” stated Vice-Chancellor Allam Srinivas Rao.
Addressing the media on Friday with Registrar Okay. Sunitha, Principal Ch. Vijaya, and Marine Biology Head Hanuma Reddy, he outlined the important thing options of the partnership. Fellowships can be awarded to college students ranging from the tutorial years 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28. Based on PGCET ranks, the highest 15 college students will obtain ₹10,000 monthly for 10 months every year, for a period of two years. During the fourth semester, 10 college students can be awarded ₹5,000 monthly for six months. The fellowship additionally offers a possibility for college kids to pursue a postgraduate diploma in Marine Biology.
Additionally, ₹2.12 crore has been allotted for state-of-the-art laboratory gear. NIOT scientists will contribute by delivering visitor lectures and conducting specialised coaching programmes.
