A suicide notice has been discovered, native OBC leaders from Latur stated. The neighborhood has now demanded monetary assist and a job for the widow of the deceased.
“We have registered a case of unintentional loss of life within the matter. But investigation is on. The youth belonged to the Vanjari neighborhood. He went to the Manjra river yesterday night and eliminated his garments earlier than leaping into the river. It raises suspicion. We have recovered a notice from the pocket of his garments. We are verifying whether it is his handwriting. We are investigating as to why he should have eliminated his garments earlier than leaping into the river,” Latur SP Amol Tambe advised The Hindu.
“He had three daughters and one son. Since the federal government had issued a GR on September 2 to subject Kunbi certificates to Marathas, he went right into a state of shock. He was anxious about what would occur to his youngsters now. So, at this time, at 5.30 PM, he died by suicide by leaping into Manjra river. A suicide notice has been recovered,” Padmakar Waghmare, the town chief of Samata Parishad, advised The Hindu from Latur.
In the notice recovered from his pocket, it’s stated that he was ending his life as a result of GR issued by the federal government. “You have deceived the OBC neighborhood by issuing a GR in opposition to our neighborhood. I hope that my neighborhood will get justice after my loss of life,” the notice accessed by The Hindu said. Police are nonetheless verifying the veracity of the handwritten notice.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra OBC chief and Minister Chhagan Bhujbal will journey to Renapur on Friday (September 12, 2025) to satisfy the household of the deceased.
