Sophie Turner solid as Lara Croft in Prime Video’s Tomb Raider sequence

Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner has been formally confirmed for the lead function within the upcoming sequence Tomb Raider.

The present, based mostly on the globally-popular online game franchise, is being developed by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics and Story Kitchen. Production is ready to start on January 19, 2026.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge, identified for critically-acclaimed exhibits reminiscent of Fleabag and Killing Eve, will function creator, author, govt producer and co-showrunner on the sequence.

Jonathan Van Tulleken is the director and govt producer, whereas Chad Hodge has joined the challenge as co-showrunner and govt producer.
