Civil society teams, activists demand Wangchuks launch

Civil society teams and activists on Tuesday (September 30, 2025) demanded the discharge of local weather activist Sonam Wangchuk who was detained beneath the National Security Act (NSA) on September 26 following violent protests in Ladakh that left 4 individuals lifeless in police motion.

Supreme Court advocate Prashant Bhushan mentioned Mr. Wangchuk didn’t instigate the violence moderately he referred to as off his starvation strike after coming to know that violence had erupted in Leh on September 24.
