Stock markets finish greater for 2nd day; metallic shares soar

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended greater for the second day in a row on Friday (October 3, 2025), propelled by shopping for in metallic shares and a rally in world markets.

The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 223.86 factors, or 0.28%, to settle at 81,207.17. During the day, the index hit a excessive of 81,251.99 and a low of 80,649.57, gyrating 602.42 factors.

The 50-share NSE Nifty edged greater by 57.95 factors, or 0.23%, to 24,894.25.

From the Sensex companies, Tata Steel climbed probably the most by 3.40%, adopted by Power Grid, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Bharat Electronics and Bharti Airtel.
