The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Chennai, organised a stakeholders conclave on the theme “Shared Vision for a Better World: Partnerships for the Goals” in Vellore on Wednesday.

According to a press launch, the conclave was inaugurated by Collector V.R. Subbulaxmi within the presence of S.D. Dayanand, Senior Director and Head, BIS (Chennai) and B.J. Gowtham, Joint Director, BIS (Chennai).

In his tackle, Arun Pucchakayala, Director, BIS (Chennai), underlined the function of BIS in formulating nationwide requirements and inspiring their adoption throughout sectors. He emphasised the significance of educational establishments and business within the mission, noting that equipping researchers with data about high quality and requirements prepares them to grow to be future contributors to the nation’s high quality ecosystem.
