U.S. President Donald Trump and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will on Monday (October 13, 2025) chair a Gaza peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, the Egyptian presidency stated on Saturday.

The assembly will happen on Monday (October 13) afternoon “with the participation of leaders from more than twenty countries,” it stated.

It will intention “to end the war in the Gaza Strip, enhance efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, and usher in a new era of regional security and stability”.

U.N, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated he’ll attend, as will Britain’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer, his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni and Pedro Sanchez of Spain. French President Emmanuel Macron has additionally confirmed his attendance.

There was no fast phrase about whether or not Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could be in Sharm el-Sheikh, whereas Hamas has stated it won’t participate.

Hossam Badran, a Hamas political bureau member, instructed AFP in an interview that the Palestinian militant group “will not be involved”.

Hamas “acted principally through… Qatari and Egyptian mediators” throughout earlier talks on Gaza, he stated.
