Minister of State for External Affairs and Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh, attended the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit held in Egypt on Monday (October 13), as per an official assertion by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

The summit was co-hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and was joined by a number of world leaders, the assertion stated.

“India stands for peace within the Middle East and the decision of points via dialogue and diplomacy”. The assertion added that India helps the Gaza peace plan of President Trump and appreciates Egypt and Qatar for his or her invaluable roles in attaining this and advancing the trail to peace.

Held following the discharge of all remaining hostages and a ceasefire within the Gaza Strip, the summit was geared toward strengthening efforts for regional peace and stability, according to President Trump’s imaginative and prescient for lasting peace within the area, the assertion additional stated.

This can also be according to India’s long-standing help for a negotiated two-State answer. The assertion reaffirmed that India will help all efforts in the direction of lasting peace within the area.

Underscoring this dedication, Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on the sidelines of the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, reflecting India’s continued engagement with key regional companions in advancing shared objectives for peace and stability.

Mr. Singh stated that the summit underscored the worldwide dedication to peace and dialogue.
