The Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM, which had vowed to contest “100 seats” within the Bihar polls upon being spurned by the INDIA bloc, on Sunday (October 19, 2025) introduced 25 candidates, together with two non-Muslims.

The listing, which incorporates the title of Akhtarul Iman, the State president of AIMIM and its lone MLA in Bihar, was shared by the get together on X.

“We are happy to announce the list of AIMIM candidates for the upcoming Bihar elections. The candidates were finalised by AIMIM’s Bihar Unit, in consultation with the party’s national leadership. Inshallah, we will be a voice of justice for Bihar’s weakest and most neglected,” stated the publish on X.

Mr. Iman has been renominated from Amour, the place 2020 runner-up Saba Zafar was changed by Sabir Ali, a former Rajya Sabha MP who was expelled from the get together 11 years in the past, by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U).

Most of the seats contested by the get together fall, predictably, within the Seemanchal area, the State’s flood-prone north-eastern half, which has a excessive proportion of Muslim inhabitants.

The BJP candidate from Dhaka is sitting MLA Pawan Kumar Jaiswal.

In the final Assembly polls, the get together had contested 19 seats, successful 5 of these, however 4 of its MLAs later joined the RJD.

The get together had written letters to RJD president Lalu Prasad and his son and inheritor obvious Tejashwi Yadav, stating that it was keen to contest the polls as an INDIA bloc constituent this time. The missives elicited no response.
