The nationwide capital’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 386 within the morning, a substantial rise from 303 on Saturday (November 1), CPCB information confirmed.
The Air Quality Early Warning System (AQEWS) for Delhi mentioned wind velocity dropped beneath 8 kmph from the northwest course in the course of the night and night time, lowering the dispersion of pollution. A air flow index decrease than 6,000 m²/s and common wind velocity lower than 10 kmph are thought of unfavourable for the dispersal of pollution, it said.
According to the AQEWS, the air high quality is more likely to stay within the ‘very poor’ class until November 4.
Seventeen monitoring stations recorded ‘extreme’ air high quality with readings above 400. Wazirpur recorded the very best AQI at 439. Twenty different stations reported ‘very poor’ air high quality with readings above 300, the CPCB’s Sameer app confirmed.
An AQI between 0 and 50 is taken into account ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘passable’, 101 to 200 ‘average’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 ‘extreme’.
Delhi recorded a minimal temperature of 16.8°C, 1.5 notches above the season’s common, in keeping with the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Humidity was recorded at 79% at 8:30 a.m..
The IMD has forecast primarily clear skies in the course of the day and shallow fog in the course of the night time. The most temperature is more likely to settle round 31°C.
