Hyderabad International Short Film Festival from December 19 to 21

The Telangana Government has permitted three initiatives to strengthen the State’s movie and tv ecosystem. It issued a Governor Order allowing Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) to sponsor the upcoming Hyderabad International Short Film Festival, to be held from December 19 to 21, 2025, in collaboration with the Dadasaheb Phalke School of Film Studies. A price range of ₹30 lakh has been sanctioned from the Corporation’s present funds for the occasion.

The Government additionally permitted the Young Filmmakers Awards Function to be organised with a price range of ₹30 lakh — to be met from the Corporation’s funds. A panel was reconstituted together with Singer Rahul Sipligunj, Director Balagam Venu, Director Harish Shankar, Cinematographer P.G. Vinda.

Besides, a committee was constituted to border modalities, laws and brand design for the proposed Telangana Television Awards 2024.

It earlier organised just a few programmes and introduced initiatives on this course. The inaugural version of Gaddar Telangana Film Awards was held by the Government on June 14, 2025.
