29 passengers escape unharmed as non-public bus catches fireplace on NH-65 in Telanganas Nalgonda

Twenty-nine passengers had a slender escape after a non-public sleeper bus operated by Vihari Travels caught fireplace close to Chityala mandal, in Nalgonda district of Telangana, on National Highway 65 within the wee hours of Tuesday (November 11, 2025).

The bus, which was travelling from BHEL in Hyderabad in direction of Nellore, was fully gutted within the blaze. The incident was reported round 1.30 a.m., in line with officers from the Chityala police.

“A hearth all of the sudden broke out within the bus. On receiving the misery name, our group together with fireplace officers rushed to the spot and introduced the flames below management,” a police official stated. Meanwhile, the passengers with the assistance of the driving force and conductor escaped the bus.

No accidents had been reported within the incident. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway to find out the reason for the fireplace.
