CM flags off 50 e-buses as a part of govt.s efforts to battle air air pollution

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday flagged off 50 new e-buses as a part of the federal government’s broader effort to scale back air air pollution within the nationwide capital.

The CM additionally laid the muse stone for an automatic testing station (ATS) on the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) Tehkhand depot in south Delhi. She stated the federal government is quickly transitioning public transport to electrical mobility. Taking a dig on the earlier Aam Aadmi Party authorities, Ms. Gupta stated, “The earlier authorities procured 2,000 buses throughout its tenure, whereas the BJP authorities, in simply eight months, has introduced 1,350 electrical buses to Delhi.”

On the ATS initiative, Ms. Gupta stated the power can be Delhi’s second main automated testing centre and is anticipated to be accomplished by March. Uptick in air high quality

Meanwhile, the air high quality within the Capital improved barely to the ‘very poor’ class on Friday after staying within the ‘extreme’ class for 3 consecutive days. Delhi’s 24-hour common air high quality index (AQI) at 4.30 p.m. on Friday was 387 (‘very poor’), down from 404 (‘extreme’) the day prior to this, as per Central Pollution Control Board information. The air high quality is more likely to be within the ‘very poor’ to ‘extreme’ class for the following six days.
