Single Papa trailer: Kunal Kemmu plans to adopt and raise a baby in quirky family-drama

The trailer of Kunal Kemmu’s upcoming family-drama series, Single Papa was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Created by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, the series is directed by Shashank Khaitan, Hitesh Kewalya and Neeraj. It also stars Manoj Pahwa, Ayesha Raza, Prajakta Koli, Neha Dhupia, Suhail Nayyar, Dayanand Shetty, Aisha Ahmed, Dhruv Rathee and Isha Talwar in pivotal roles.

The trailer opens with a hilarious exchange in the court where Isha, who seems to play the wife of Kunal’s character, speaks about his man-child behaviour. Kunal then tells everyone that he has decided to adopt a baby and become his ‘single papa’. His family is shocked and tries to convince him otherwise. Kunal is then seen taking lessons to take care of the baby. The trailer ends with the character of Neha telling Kunal that she will not let him adopt a baby. The series promises to be a quirky family-drama with a blend of comedy and emotions.

Speaking about the show, Kunal said in a statement, “Playing Gaurav has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The character is flawed, funny, and fiercely loving… just like so many real-life single parents. I think audiences will see themselves and their families in this show. The warmth of every character is what makes this show so special and wholesome!”

Neha added, “As a parent myself, what touched me the most about Single Papa is how honestly it portrays the chaos, tenderness and imperfections that make families what they are. Parenting is never linear, never perfect, and the show captures that beautifully. It blends humour and heart in a way that feels deeply real.”
