Drishyam 3: Mohanlal-Jeethu Joseph movie locks release date

One of the most anticipated movies of Indian cinema has got a release date. Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph, is all set to hit theatres.

The movie is the third instalment of the blockbuster Malayalam franchise. Producer Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas will hope to score a hat-trick when the third part of the thriller hits the screens on April 2, 2026. The movie will be presented by Pen Studios and Panaroma Studios.

The makers took to X to announce the development. Mohanlal plays the wily Georgekutty, who goes any lengths to protect his family. In the third part, the focus will be back again on the sensational crime case that Georgetkutty and family has gotten away with twice.

“Years passed. But the past didn’t”, wrote Mohanlal on X, announcing the movie’s release date with the video. The film has a caption that reads, “The past never stays silent”.

Meena, Esther Anil and Ansiba are the other actors in prominent roles in Drishyam 3. The Hindi remake of the movie is slated to release in theatres on October 02, 2026. The movie, starring Ajay Devgn, was recently hit by a controversy, when Akshay Khanna, who played an important role in the Hindi sequel, exited the project.
