What engine and fuel options does the Grand Vitara offer?
The Grand Vitara is offered with petrol, strong-hybrid, and CNG powertrain options. The trim lineup includes Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha.
The petrol version is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine producing 101 hp and 139 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. An all-wheel-drive option is also offered, but only with the petrol manual variant.

Petrol variants of the Grand Vitara are priced between ₹10.76 lakh and ₹18.73 lakh (ex-showroom). Strong-hybrid versions are priced from ₹16.63 lakh to ₹19.72 lakh, while CNG variants start at ₹12.99 lakh and go up to ₹14.75 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
So, should you buy now?
If you are considering the base Sigma variant, January 2026 does offer some tangible savings. For other variants, availability of discounts will largely depend on dealership-level negotiations.
