At Aavarangadu village in Tiruchi district, 611 bulls were released into the arena, with 228 tamers participating. Forty persons, along with one bull, were injured during the event. Of them, four persons — two bull owners, a tamer, and a spectator — were referred to the hospital, and the remaining were treated as outpatients at the venue.
The event at Rakshandar Thirumalai village in Karur district saw 480 tamers attempt to catch 513 bulls. Fifty-five persons were injured. Of them, 14 — eight spectators, three bull owners, and three tamers — were taken to the hospital. The rest of the injured were treated as outpatients at the venue.
In Pudukottai district, jallikattu was organised at Vanniyanviduthi village, where 481 bulls were released, and 300 tamers participated. Around 20 persons, including 10 bull owners, five tamers, and five spectators, were injured and all of them were treated at the venue.
At Mangathevanpatti in Pudukottai district 765 bulls were let loose on the arena with 300 tamers trying to catch them. Fifteen persons, including six tamers, six bull owners, and three spectators, were injured and treated as outpatients at the venue, according to police sources.
