Ticket sales for India-NZ T20 to begin from Jan 23: ACA

Officials from the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) announced that the sale of online tickets for the upcoming T20 International match scheduled to be held between India and New Zealand at Dr YSR ACA VDCA International Cricket Stadium, on January 28, shall commence from January 23, at 5 p.m. via the District by Zomato app. They also clarified that tickets will be available only online and will not be sold anywhere offline.

In another significant development, unlike the previous exercise, numbered seating system has been put in place once again, to ensure spectators face no inconvenience. Spectators have been urged to occupy only the seats allotted to them.

Ahead of much anticipated match, the ACA authorities conducted a review meeting to discuss about the preparedness for the match at the stadium on Wednesday.

The meeting which was also chaired by Commissioner of Police, Shankhabrata Bagchi, discussed key aspects such as security, traffic regulation, stadium management, drinking water, and sanitation during the match day.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bagchi directed officials to make robust security arrangements, especially to manage the crowd flow at entry points. He added that CCTV cameras will be installed in parking areas, an upgraded centralised public address system will be set up for effective communication, and special police officers will be deployed for the security of the cricket teams and their support staff.

Later, GVMC Zonal Commissioner Ayyappa Naidu stated that, in coordination with the ACA, preparations are underway to conduct the match with zero waste management. Adequate staff will be deployed to prevent sanitation issues, and drinking water facilities will be provided inside the stadium, he added.

ACA Councillor Dantu Vishnu Tej, DCP Ch Manikanta and officials from Fire, APEPDCL, along with ACA staff were present.
