    Karnataka Lokayukta visits Bowring Hospital

“Bowring hospital wall collapse is an instance of maladministration,” Karnataka Lokayukta Bhimanagouda Sanganagouda Patil has said.

Mr. Patil, who was on a visit to meet the injured at the hospital, said that officials have been instructed to provide free treatment to all the injured.

“When vendors are selling on roadsides, regular inspection of the places where they conduct business is important for their safety. That has not been conducted in this case. When asked, GBA says they have a staff crunch. Only retirements are happening, no appointments. This is negligence and a case of maladministration,” he added.

Residents, many of whom have been living in the area for over 45 years, said they face the same problem every time it rains.
