The Border Security Force (BSF) arrested a Pakistani intruder after he crossed the worldwide border in Punjab’s Amritsar district on Tuesday night. This comes amid strained relations between India and Pakistan after India launched Operation Sindoor and destroyed terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Notably, India’s strikes have been in response to the Pahalgam terror assault which claimed the lives of 26 harmless civilians on April 22. 

A BSF spokesperson mentioned that troops seen the motion of an individual, who crossed the worldwide border and began approaching the border fence on Tuesday night. “In a swift response, the troops challenged him to stop and subsequently apprehended him,” the spokesperson mentioned. The Pakistani nationwide was apprehended from the border space adjoining to village Karimpura in Amritsar, the spokesperson mentioned. He was later handed over to native police for additional investigation.
