NEW DELHI: The defence ministry has signed a raft of contracts value nearly 2,000 crore by way of the emergency procurement route to spice up the Indian Army’s readiness in counter-terrorism operations in Jammu and Kashmir, with a few of these offers concluded after the current four-day army confrontation with Pakistan below Operation Sindoor, officers conscious of the matter stated on Tuesday.
