Uber launches Indias first devoted Uber Black pickup zone at Bengaluru airport

Uber, in partnership with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), launched India’s first devoted Uber Black pickup zones at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), enhancing the premium journey expertise for passengers at each Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

The initiative, launched on August 11, additionally covers Uber Comfort rides. It is aimed toward providing a seamless transition between air and floor journey, in response to Uber.

The new zones characteristic enhanced facilities akin to water dispensers, charging stations, a staffed helpdesk kiosk, and educated on-ground personnel to help passengers.

Uber acknowledged that high-rated drivers and well-appointed autos are a part of the service, making certain a extra refined commuting choice for airport travellers. This marks the ride-hailing firm’s first-ever Uber Black zone at any airport in India.

Arnab Kumar, Director of Business Development for Uber India and South Asia, stated, “Bengaluru airport is among the busiest and most vital airports in India. KIA, which dealt with over 41.88 million passengers in FY 2024–25, is the busiest airport in south India, and the third largest in India.
