Addressing the irrigation Water Users’ Associations, district Collectors, and officers by way of video-conference from the Secretariat on Thursday, Mr. Naidu reviewed water administration, equitable distribution to tail-end areas, and environment friendly utilisation.
The Chief Minister stated efficient water administration had enabled the State to retailer 82% capability of the reservoirs and barrages this season. He cited the diversion of rainwater and upstream inflows into main initiatives, together with filling the Rayalaseema reservoirs by way of the Handri-Neeva system. “Focus will now be on Velugodu, Uttarandhra, and Galeru–Nagari Sujala Sravanti initiatives,” he added.
Mr. Naidu directed that village tanks and irrigation canals be preserved and stuffed, with energetic participation from the Water Users’ Associations. “About 17% much less rainfall has been recorded within the State.
