American-Turkish activist shot dead by Israeli army during West Bank protest

A dual US-Turkish citizen, Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, died on Friday after being shot in the head by Israeli troops while participating in a protest against settlement expansion in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA. The U.S. State Department and Turkey’s Foreign Ministry confirmed her death, with Turkey condemning the incident as “a murder by the Netanyahu government.”
