Industrial progress pulled all the way down to 10-month low of 1.5% in June

Growth in industrial exercise slowed to a 10-month low of 1.5% in June 2025, down from 1.9% in May. This slowdown was pushed by the mining sector, which noticed its worst efficiency in 58 months, and in addition by contractions within the electrical energy and first items sectors.

Data on the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), launched by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, confirmed the index final witnessed worse progress numbers in August 2024. 

The mining and quarrying sector contracted 8.7% in June 2025, its worst efficiency since August 2020. The electrical energy sector contracted 2.6% in June 2025, a smaller contraction than in May 2025 (-4.7%), however a considerably worse efficiency than the 8.3% progress in June 2024.

 The manufacturing sector, alternatively, grew at a 5-month excessive of three.9% in June 2025, up from 3.2% in May and three.5% in June of final 12 months.

The major items sector contracted 3% in June 2025, its worst efficiency in 56 months. Intermediate and infrastructure and building items grew at 5.5% and seven.2%, respectively. This was the best in six months and three months, respectively.
