RBL Bank Q3 net profit surges to 214 crore

RBL Bank Ltd for the third quarter ending December 31, 2025 reported 555% growth in net profit at ₹214 crore as compared with ₹33 crore in the year ago period.

Net Interest Income (NII) for the period grew 5%. The Net Interest Margin (NIM) was 4.63%.

In an improvement in asset quality the bank’s Gross NPA ratio as at December 31, 2025 was 1.88% as compared with 2.32% as at September 30, 2025.

Net NPA ratio as at December 31, 2025 was 0.55% as compared with 0.57% as at September 30, 2025.

Provision Coverage Ratio including technical write offs was 93.2%, the bank said. 

Total Deposits grew 12% YoY and net advances grew 14% YoY. Secured retail advances grew 24% YoY ₹34,407 crore, as the bank reduced Inter-Bank Participation Certificate (IBPC) outstanding from ₹4,500 crore to ₹1,500 crore.

Retail Advances book grew 10% YoY to ₹60,611 crore while wholesale advances rose by 21% YoY to ₹42,475 crore; Commercial banking grew faster 30% YoY, the bank said.

R. Subramaniakumar, MD & CEO, RBL Bank said, “Q3 FY26 marks another quarter of stable and consistent operational performance for the bank. We continued to deliver strong growth in our focus areas, with secured retail advances and commercial banking driving asset side expansion while granular deposits supported on liability side.”

“The collection efficiency in our Joint Liability Group (JLG) business has materially improved and disbursal run-rate are now close to normalised levels. Our core operating engine remains robust — anchored in disciplined execution, profitable Balance Sheet, and a sharper cross sell to our existing customer base,” he said.

“During the quarter, the bank received shareholder approval for capital infusion by Emirates NBD PJSC and for amalgamation of its Indian branches with RBL. The bank is awaiting regulatory approvals for the same,” he added.
