Election Commission set to announce schedule for Assembly Elections 2024 today at 3 pm, during a press conference. An EC’s statement over the announcement of the date for the election schedule to the legislative assemblies did not mention the states for which it would be applicable; however, the terms of the legislative assemblies of Haryana and Maharashtra are set to end on November 3 and November 26, respectively. It is pertinent to note that the poll panel is also planning to hold assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir before September 30, the deadline set by the Supreme Court.
