Two days after a 22-year-old from Veliyanad close to Piravom was reported lacking in a ship capsize off the coast of Beira in Mozambique, his household and village proceed their anxious wait.

Indrajith Santhosh, a hull inspector with a Kochi-based marine engineering agency, went lacking after a launch boat capsized off the Beira port in Mozambique. He was heading to examine a tanker, MT Sea Quest, anchored offshore on Thursday (October 16).

Indrajith was in Mozambique for work organized by way of a Mumbai-based maritime firm. Three Indian nationals have been killed and one was injured within the accident, whereas 5 others have been rescued, in keeping with the Indian High Commission in Mozambique.
