Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister P. Narayana has requested the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) to provoke measures to make sure that all of the sewages are handled correctly earlier than being drained into the ocean.

He stated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had directed that not even a single drop of untreated sewage ought to enter the ocean, and the seaside ought to stay free from air pollution. In line with these instructions, a number of drains main into the ocean have been inspected, he stated.

“Sewage presently flows into the Visakhapatnam seaside via 25 main drains, out of which 13 drains have already been related to underground drainage methods.
