Pushing for the necessity of an ‘anti-drugs’ committee in each college and school within the district, Udupi Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar on Thursday stated it’s a matter of concern that Udupi stands third within the variety of police instances of drug consumption.

Speaking at a programme on the “Anti Drugs Committees in faculties and faculties”, Mr. Shankar stated Bengaluru stands first, adopted by Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts by way of the variety of drug consumption instances registered by police.
