Addressing the gathering, he said, “While we all hold diverse faiths and belief systems, as followers of the late Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, we are also staunch adherents to our core ideology.”
He shared that having personally interacted with the sisters and learned about their practices, he was honoured to participate in the event alongside the movement’s leaders and followers.
“I am attending this event on behalf of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, as we believe in the philosophy of equality that everyone should have access to everything,” the Minister added.
According to the organisers, the Brahma Kumaris have dedicated the past five decades to selfless service, focusing on building a value-based society, fostering mental peace, spiritual awakening, and moral living, as well as empowering women and youth.
They highlighted that the event’s primary objective was to serve humanity by transcending the barriers of religion, race, language, and caste.
The keynote addresses were delivered by Justice G.R. Swaminathan of the Madras High Court and Jayanthi Didi, chief administrator of Brahma Kumaris, among other dignitaries.
