Coimbatore gang-rape case: check identification parade held in Central Prison

The check identification parade (TIP) of the three accused within the Coimbatore gang-rape case was held on Tuesday (November 18, 2025). 

Sources aware about the investigation stated that the TIP was held on the Coimbatore Central Prison. 

The three accused within the case, T. Karuppasamy alias Satheesh (30), his brother T. Kaleeswaran alias Karthik (21) and their distant relative M. Guna alias Thavasi (20), of Madurai district, had been paraded together with different individuals for the TIP. 

Separate TIPs had been held for the 20-year-old survivor within the case, who’s a scholar of a faculty in Coimbatore, and her boyfriend aged 25. 

The process, as per norms, was held in a one-way mirror room on the Central Prison. The association permits a witness to determine suspect/s with out being seen by the suspect/s or fillers (different people within the line-up).

Credible sources stated the survivor and her boyfriend recognized the three accused from others paraded together with them. 

The First Judicial Magistrate, who was assigned by the Chief Judicial Magistrate to conduct the TIP, will submit a report on the process earlier than the court docket involved. The case is at the moment being dealt with by the Additional Mahila Court, Coimbatore.
