Congress accuses LDF govt. of getting failed in addressing peoples points

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunny Joseph and Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan on Saturday (July 19, 2025) accused the Left Democratic Front (LDF) authorities of getting failed in resolving the varied issues confronted by individuals.

The tragic incident through which a 52-year-old lady was killed after a portion of an outdated and dilapidated constructing on the Government Medical College Hospital in Kottayam collapsed on July 3 stays a stark reminder of the federal government’s inefficiency, Mr. Joseph stated on the assembly organised by the Ernakulam District Congress Committee right here in opposition to the anti-people insurance policies of the Left authorities.

He alleged that the Ministers who had reached the spot failed to hurry up the rescue efforts. Instead, they tried to minimize the incident so as to disguise the failure of the federal government. The lack of Midhun, a Class VIII pupil at Thevalakkara Boys High School, Kollam, after he was electrocuted whereas attempting to retrieve a slipper that had fallen onto the roof of the bicycle shed on the college compound was one other such incident, he stated

Mr. Satheesan stated that the upper schooling sector had been hit severely as the federal government had did not appoint everlasting Vice-Chancellors in universities and Principals in authorities faculties. Hundreds of aspirants have been leaving the State for larger schooling overseas in view of the pathetic scenario right here, he added.
