The Kolkata Police on Tuesday (October 14, 2025) arrested Rajdeep Roy, a pupil of a personal engineering faculty in Kolkata, for allegedly raping his classmate in her rented condominium in East Kolkata’s Anandapur space.

Roy, who’s in his 20s and was recognized to the survivor, has been remanded to police custody by a metropolis courtroom until October 22.
