Ethical life must be the ultimate goal, says Sudha Murty at AU alumni meet-2025

Rajya Sabha MP and founder chairperson of Infosys Foundation Sudha Murty on Saturday (December 13, 2025) said that ethical life should be the ultimate goal of every individual, particularly students, and it can be achieved with self-discipline and self-reliance, for which students must work hard with honesty.

She was addressing the students and alumni of Andhra University as the chief guest at the University Alumni Meet titled ‘Waves-2025’ held at the AU Convention Centre in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. Drawing on personal stories and meaningful life examples, she delivered uplifting messages to the students.

Later, she participated in a question-and-answer session.

GMR Group Chairman and alumnus Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao said that the growth of the country depends on many factors, including the right path taken by students at the college and university level. He advised them to take inspiration from individuals such as Ms. Sudha Murty to achieve their personal goals.

Vice Chancellor Raja Sekhar outlined the university’s plans for the upcoming centenary celebrations and sought the support of Infosys Foundation for the university. Alumni Association chairman K.V. Rao outlined the history of the alumni meet.

Before the event, cultural performances by students, including foreign students, enthralled the audience.

In the morning, the respective departments of the university held reunion meetings with old students and reminisced about their past memories and their campus days. Over 10,000 students registered for the alumni meet. Some of them attended the meet in person, while others virtually.
