According to police sources, Ranganathan was detained from his residence in Kodambakkam by a crew comprising members of the Madhya Pradesh Special Investigation Team (SIT) and Chennai’s Ashok Nagar police. Following his arrest, the SIT and Chennai police collectively carried out a search on the firm’s manufacturing unit in Sunguvarchatram, Kancheepuram, to look at manufacturing data and samples.
Madhya Pradesh police have booked Ranganathan beneath the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and different legal guidelines. Further investigation is beneath progress.

The affirmation was detailed in a report from the Tamil Nadu Director of Drugs Control, submitted to the Madhya Pradesh authorities on October 4.
