Hyderabad Weather July 26 | City wakes to morning rain, waterlogging slows visitors in a number of areas

Hyderabad woke as much as overcast skies on Saturday (July 26, 2025) as gray clouds loomed over town, ultimately giving strategy to drizzle in some elements and reasonable rainfall in others. The early spell of rain led to waterlogging and slowed visitors in a number of areas.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police reported waterlogging and consequent visitors congestion at key junctions together with Ayodhya Junction, Abids, Ranigunj and Saifabad. Commuters skilled delays in the course of the morning rush as water accrued on a number of stretches, hampering car motion.

According to information from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), as of 10 a.m., Film Nagar recorded a rainfall of 10.3 mm adopted by 10 mm in Banjara Hills, 9.8 mm in Mehdipatnam, 9.8 mm in Gachibowli, 9 mm in Serilingampally, 8.3 mm in Shaikpet, 8.3 mm in Jubilee Hills, 7.5 mm in Khairtabad, 7.5 mm in Rajdendranagar, 7 mm in Falaknuma, 7 mm in Goshamahal, 6.8 mm in Lingampally and 6.5 mm in Chanda Nagar.

As per a morning replace from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), a light-weight to reasonable spell of rain (10–15 mm) is predicted throughout town between 10.20 a.m. and 12.20 p.m.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a bulletin at 10 a.m., forecasting heavy rainfall at remoted locations in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Nizamabad districts.

For Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, the IMD predicted the probability of sunshine to reasonable rain or thundershowers in the course of the night or night time, with the opportunity of intense spells accompanied by gusty winds in sure areas.
