A Defence spokesperson mentioned the plane, ‘Pilatus PC-7,’ which was on a routine coaching mission, crashed close to Thiruporur. A Court of Inquiry (COI) has been ordered to determine the trigger. The pilot was taken by an air ambulance, and additional investigation is underneath approach.

Local residents mentioned a loud noise was heard on the Thiruporur-Nemmeli Road that connects East Coast Road (ECR) with Rajiv Gandhi Salai at round 2 p.m. the place the plane crashed close to a salt manufacturing unit compound wall. Okay. Sivaraman, a resident of Thiruporur, mentioned his aunt who lives close by had referred to as him to say she heard a loud explosion.

“I bought a name at 2.10 p.m. The pilot who parachuted to security fell on the Thiruporur bypass on the median close to Thandalam. He was fortunate to have fallen a couple of metres away from the excessive pressure energy traces. Though the police and an ambulance reached the spot, he refused first assist and waited for the air ambulance that arrived at round 3 p.m.,” Mr. Sivaraman claimed.
