IMD Mumbai issued a warning of intense rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) in elements of north and central Maharashtra, together with Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon, Aurangabad area, Beed, and Nanded.

Between August 15 and 16, 2025, Mumbai recorded heavy rainfall with common totals of 99.61 mm within the City (CT), 142.80 mm within the Eastern Suburbs (ES), and 144.57 mm within the Western Suburbs (WS).
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has suggested residents to keep away from stepping out until needed. Overnight showers have led to extreme waterlogging in a number of elements of the town, together with the Milan Subway, Kurla, Chembur, Gandhi Market, and Andheri.

Western and Eastern Suburbs document over 200 mm rain in simply 3 hours

2 killed, two injured as landslip hits Jankalyan Society: BMC
