He expressed hoped that All India Congress Committee (AICC) chief and Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi too would welcome the decision because it was he — as a part of the ‘Paanch Nyay’ promise made within the Congress social gathering’s election manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections — who was vocal for automated disqualification of elected representatives in case of their defection. In case he was honest about his dedication in the direction of the promise, he should be sure that the ten MLAs had been disqualified.
