The Mangaluru-Subrahmanya Road part of the Mangaluru-Hassan line, for the primary time, witnessed the working of an electrical loco-hauled passenger prepare at 4 a.m. on Monday, when prepare no. 56625 left Mangaluru Central in the direction of Subrahmanya Road (SBHR).

The return journey of prepare no. 56626, in addition to two different subsequent round-trip prepare nos. 56629/30 and 56627/28 had been additionally made with Elcos, thereby marking a brand new starting within the part that had hitherto been witnessing diesel locomotives hauling passenger and freight trains.

Earlier, the prepare made just one spherical journey to SBHR at midday and two spherical journeys to Kabaka Puttur. It was then prolonged to SBHR for the remaining two spherical journeys from April 12. The service departs from Mangaluru Central at 4 a.m. on its first journey, reaching SBHR at 6:30 p.m. It then departs from SBHR at 7 a.m. to reach at Central at 9:30 a.m. The second journey begins from Central at 10 a.m. to succeed in SBHR at 1.30 p.m., whereas the return journey begins at 1.45 p.m. to succeed in Central at 4.25 p.m. The prepare makes the final journey from Central at 5.45 p.m. to succeed in SBHR at 8.10 p.m. and leaves SBHR at 8.40 p.m. to reach at Central at 11.10 p.m.
