New DIG, Commissioner, DCP and SPs to assume office in southern districts

In a major year-end police reshuffle announced by the Tamil Nadu government, new officials have been appointed across the Tirunelveli range.

The Tirunelveli range will get a new Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, while Tirunelveli city will welcome a new Commissioner of Police and a new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

At district level, new Superintendents of Police have been appointed for Tirunelveli, Tenkasi and Thoothukudi districts.

P. Saravanan has been appointed as DIG of Police, Tirunelveli range. Prior to this, he served as the SP of Villupuram district.

N. Manivannan, Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police II Battalion, Avadi, has been promoted to the rank of DIG of Police and appointed as Commissioner of Police of Tirunelveli city.

C. Madhan, who served as the ASP of Thoothukudi town sub division, has now been promoted as SP and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Tirunelveli city west.

V. Prasanna Kumar, previously the DCP of Tirunelveli city west, has been appointed as SP of Tirunelveli district. G.S. Madhavan, who held the position of SP in Kallakurichi district, has been transferred to serve as SP of Tenkasi district.

N. Silambarasan has been appointed the SP of Thoothukudi district, who earlier served as the SP of Tirunelveli district.
