NGT orders motion on Bandhwari landfill leachate discharge

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has flagged critical violations on the Bandhwari landfill in Gurugram, noting that untreated leachate is overflowing and being discharged into forested areas by “kutcha drains” and concrete pipes.

The tribunal has directed authorities to take “fast remedial motion,” in keeping with its newest order.

“Joint inspection report dated 17.09.2025 has been filed, depicting the intense violation of the norms.
