NSTL holds blood donation camp to mark Lab Raising Day in Visakhapatnam

A blood donation camp was organised by the Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL) on Tuesday, August 5, as a part of its 56th Lab Raising Day Celebrations-2025 (LRDC-2025). The camp was collectively performed by the Social Service Committee of LRDC-2025, NSTL Works Committee, and NSTL Civilian Employees Union, in affiliation with AS Raja Blood Bank.

NSTL Director Abraham Varughese inaugurated the camp and expressed satisfaction on the growing voluntary participation of NSTL workers. He lauded the donors for his or her contribution.

Chairman and Secretary of the Social Service Committee, G.N.V.S. Kasi Visweswara Rao and Gaurav Kumar #Prajapati, highlighted NSTL’s ongoing dedication to conducting blood donation drives on numerous events, thereby serving to preserve a gentle provide of blood for medical emergencies.

A 19-member crew from AS Raja Blood Bank, together with Dr. A. Sugandhi, Dr. Geeta Viswanathan, Dr. Ok. Mohan Reddy; NSTL Civilian Employees Union president Akiri Suneel; Works Committee Secretary G. Nagabhushanam; and different members additionally participated within the programme.

A complete of 160 personnel and their members of the family donated blood through the camp.
