Nearly 5,000 college students participated within the ‘Namo Yuva Run’ on the Delhi University Sports Complex on Sunday, aiming to advertise a drug-free society.
The 5-kilometre run, organised by the Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha, was flagged off by MP Manoj Tiwari, BJP co-incharge Alka Gurjar and Padma Shri awardee athlete Sudha Singh.
Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Rajbhushan Chaudhary mentioned, “The thought is to ship a powerful message of drug-free residing to the youth, to allow them to meaningfully contribute to constructing a developed India. A wholesome and drug-free India is our purpose.” The marathon was held as a part of the Drug-Free India Campaign, marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday with a fortnight of service and outreach programmes.
Mr. Tiwari mentioned that an oath was administered to members to keep away from medication and safeguard their well being and future. “It’s a matter of pleasure to have fun Modiji’s birthday this manner, as a result of he needs it marked by service and innovation,” he added. Tiwari, BJP co-incharge Alka Gurjar and Padma Shri awardee athlete Sudha Singh drew college students and youth in giant numbers. The marathon was held below the Drug-Free India Campaign as a part of ‘Seva Pakhwada,’ marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday with a fortnight of service and outreach programmes.
