Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Deputy Commissioner H.V. Darshan said helicopter rides of the city will be between December 23 and January 2, 2026. The district administration has earmarked space in Sultan Battery and Panambur. The operator will choose the place from where the helicopter can take off.
Mr. Kher and Mr. Prakash have agreed to hold their shows at the Tannirbhavi beach on January 3 and January 4 respectively, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. There will be performances by local bands for about two hours, before the show of these two artists on the two days.
At the Karavali Utsava grounds, in addition to varied stalls, there will be amusement park and also ‘Sea World’. These stalls will presently operate for a month and can be extended, if needed, he said.
The first activity on the beaches in the city will be the wine, cheese and cake festival to be held at the Blue Flag Tannirbhavi beach on December 21. Apart from showcasing wines from across the world, there will be wine testing, demonstration of wine preparation, and music sessions at the venue.
At the Ullal beach, there will be a zumba session on December 27. Beach volleyball, beach football, tug-of-war and food festival will be held at the same beach on December 27 and 28.
There will be a start-up conclave, entertainment events, and triathlon at Tannirbhavi from January 9 to 11. There will be a dance festival on January 23, followed by International Kite Festival on January 17 and 18, and the morning yoga and cultural programme at Tannirbhavi on January 25.
Stand-up paddle race, kayak race, country boat race and cultural programmes will be held at the Sasihitlu beach on January 10 and 11. Javed Ali Music night and sand sculpture show will be held at Panambur beach from January 17 to 19. There will be Udaya Raga, Beach Yoga and musical evening at the Someshwar beach on January 24.
The annual Kalaparba will be held at Kadri Park Road from January 9 to January 11. At the same venue, there will street food festival on January 30 and 31. A golf tournament will be held at Pilikula Golf Club on January 10 and 11. Film festival showcasing Kannada, and other acclaimed films will be at Big Cinemas from January 19 to January 21. Dog show will be at Karavali Utsava grounds on January 25. The Kadri Park Flower and Fruit Show will be on January 26. Mr. Darshan said.
Parking arrangements have been done at eight places around Karavali Utsava grounds. Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy said that parking will be barred on either flanks of the road between Lalbagh Circle and Karavali Utsava grounds from December 20 and January 2. Mr. Darshan said adequate parking arrangements and traffic regulations will be made during events at the beaches and at Kadri Park.s
