Police stated Muthukrishnan, 26, of V.M. Chathram right here, who had gone to fill-up the chest within the ATM machine at Vaeinthaankulam new bus-stand on final Wednesday, had parked his bike close to the primary platform. When he returned after 45 minutes, he discovered that his two-wheeler had been stolen.
As Mr. Muthukrishnan alerted the policemen within the bus-stand, the police began checking the CCTV cameras fitted close to the scene of crime. Even because the police have been making an attempt to establish the culprits, two unidentified individuals have been bringing again Mr. Muthukrishnan’s bike to the spot the place they took the two-wheeler. On seeing the police, the duo parked the bike at a distance and tried to flee. However, they have been nabbed instantly.
During inquiry, they, who have been recognized as bike mechanic Muthukumar, 30, of Sattankulam and his affiliate Thangaraja, 37, of Nanguneri, advised the police that as there was no gas within the bike, they needed to carry it again to the spot the place they stole the automobile in a bid to cover the theft.
During inquiry, police discovered that Muthukumar, a Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam functionary, and Thangaraja had stolen 5 bikes which have been recovered.
